RBL won the Spring League Premier Division but left it very late to secure the win they needed scoring with just 30 seconds left
to win 1-0 at Tipton Youth.
In a tight game Tipton had a great chance when Courtney Brown slipped and Tipton's player took the ball around Jake in goal and has he was about to shoot Courtney got back and took the ball off him and cleared.
Both teams where playing good football and Gurpreet Singh won the ball out on the left he beat two players but had his shot blocked. then James O'Malley went on a run and he forced a good save from the keeper. Tipton then thought they had scored but a great save from Jake saw the ball hit the underside off the bar and bounced on the line before Jordan Powers clear. RBL went close on a number of times but without bothering the keeper. half time. 0-0.
RBL came out with more intense pressure in the second but could not find the goal they needed and with Tipton hitting us on the break they caused us problems. We had Jake to thank again when he produced a good save pushing the ball away for a corner. Tipton had further chance's but could not take them.
Tipton's keeper then produced a fantastic save from Ryan Blower diving full length to his right to push the ball around the post. Todd Brindle James O'Malley and Ryan Blower then flashed shots just wide. Then RBL won a free kick just inside Tipton's half, Ryan Williams delivered a fine ball over Tipton's defence and James O'Malley arrive around the back to volley the ball into the net with just 30 seconds remaining which ended with him being on the bottom of a mass pile on has RBL celebrated. Tipton then kicked off and the ref blew for full time.
