A fantastic performance and exceptional game from both teams. Welland started strong closing down and pressing the opposition back resulting in a well taken goal from Connor, Ryan doubled the lead with sheer determination after hitting the post he followed up and smashed the ball into the roof of the net. Valley pressed on, closing down and making the right pass with good movement off the ball pushing on for a third which came from a slight deflection off a great strike from Lewis. Bugbrooke came out in the second half pressing Valley back working the ball well resulting in a goal as they followed up to take advantage of an awkward bounce, renewed belief Badgers pressed again working the ball from wide areas Chris pulled off a great save only for it to fall to Badgers feet side foot home. Valley regrouped and began pasing and moving pressing Badgers back having had a goal chalked off for offside Valley maintained the belief and came again resulting in some great wing play with the resulting cross being met by Hayden who fired home. Bugbrooke came looking for a third and got it from a back post header from a corner. Valley stood strong at the end with some match winning saves from Chris with the ball looking top corner goal bound he dived to his left and tipped it round the post. A great game of football made possible by two teams playing some breathtaking football at times. Tremendous effort from Bugbrooke who showed real grit to fight back from 3-0 down. Equally terrific effort from Welland whose first half display was particularly outstanding. A great performance and result boys !!
