Welcome to the official website of Welland Valley Football Club.

Founded back in 1998, we are now one of the largest clubs in Northampton. Since 2009 we have held FA Charter Standard Club Status.

We offer boys and girls the chance to play football, from our Under 7 youngsters all the way through to Under 14’s.

All our teams currently play in the Northampton & District Youth Alliance League (NDYAL). In addition to competitive youth football there are also non-competitive opportunities with mini-soccer.

We currently have over 200 registered players. Every single one of them shows a real and dedicated commitment to their teams.

In partnership with Northampton Borough Council, we have our own ground at Wootton Brook in West Hunsbury. We have four 11 a-side pitches and four mini-soccer pitches. We work closely with local residents, putting us at the heart of the local community.

As we are lucky enough to have our own ground, it means we can hold an annual summer tournament. Each year 56 teams and more than 700 youngsters from U7’s to U14’s compete in this terrific event.

A committed team of Welland Valley people ensure that the club is carefully managed. Chairman Mick Watts leads the management team, ably supported by secretary Angela Aitken, treasurer Barry Pooley, welfare officer Dawn Mains. and the rest of the committee team. Every manager from each individual team is also on the committee. They all work tirelessly to ensure the smooth running of the club.

As you’d expect, all managers and coaches are at least FA level one qualified in coaching football. They are also first aid trained and CRB cleared.

At Welland Valley we are extremely lucky to have lots of talented individuals working with us.  Together they ensure that our teams give their best performance every single week, as well as doing everything possible to ensure the club continues to grow and develop.

Without exception they are enthusiastic, energetic and motivated to encourage players of all ages to reach their potential.
