Ian Templeman, the NWCFL Media Officer interviewed Andy Nelson after the Tuesday game against Northwich Villa.

Andy stated he is looking for more of the same from West after a solid start to our first campaign in the NWCFL.

Two wins, a draw and a last gasp defeat is a more than respectable start for league newcomers, and Andy says the challenge now is to keep the momentum going.

 “This season is one of transition for the whole club. Even though many of the players have been at a higher level, the club hasn’t, so we have to be sure that the club moves forward both on and off the pitch.

“I feel sure that at times it will feel that we are punching above our weight, but if we can do the things we are capable of behind the scenes and maintain professionalism around the playing side, we are hopeful that we can finish in a respectable position, consolidate our place in the league and give us a good platform to build on for next season”.
