Explorers F.C. was founded in 1994 by Mr Bert Goodhall when children who attended his Thursday night church youth club, based at the Frank Peace Hall, decided that they wanted to play football. Training started on Saturday mornings at William Byrd School (Victoria Lane - Harlington) and the team was entered into the Hayes & District League.
Bert Goodhall's daughter Valerie and Ian Hastie were at the forefront of getting the club off the ground until moving to Northamptonshire in 1998.
The club moved during June 2000 from William Byrd School to West Drayton Cricket Club (Cricket Field Lane - West Drayton) and is run by members of the Committee.
In April 2003, Explorers FC received the the prestigious FA Charter Standard.
On 21st May 2005 Explorers FC became West Drayton Explorers FC and with the new name came a new club badge.
On 1st July 2005 WD Explorers FC moved their home ground to Stockley Park.
