Westdyke kicked off their last game of their season against Summerhill on a glorious day. Summerhill started the better team and put Westdyke under a bit of pressure for the first 5 minutes of the game. Summerhill then took the lead when they were awarded a free-kick just outside the box and converted it well. Westdyke responded well and nearly equalised through Cutis Inglis 5 minutes later. He was played through, composed himself, but the keeper read him and stuck out a boot to save it. Two minutes later, Sean Dickie had a brilliant chance to put it all square when he was played in by Ewan Ritchie, but he snatched at it and put it wide. It was evenly battled out for the next 10 minutes and Westdyke had another brilliant chance to equalise when the keeper saved it on the line. Summerhill started the game the better side but as the half went on, Westdyke proved to be the most likely to get the next goal.

Westdyke made 2 changes at half time with Sean Dickie and Jamie Denoon being replaced by Aidan Leiper and Richard Nickerson.  Both teams started the second half brightly but it was Summerhill who got the next goal. The defender launched a massive throw into the path of the striker who finished. It was evenly fought for the next 20 minutes with half-chances falling at either end but Summerhill then added a 3^rd when the striker prodded it home from a cross. However, 10 minutes from time Westdyke had the best chance of the game when Curtis Inglis was put clean through but the keeper saved well. A minute later Summerhill got a 4^th when their striker latched on to a rebound. Westdyke proved to be the better team as the game wore on but just couldn’t finish their chances to end their rollercoaster of a season on a high.
