After a long break caused by the weather and christmas it was nice to see the boys back on the pitch.Facing what we had been reliably informed were a strong side and on a pitch which did-nt look like it would allow the boys to play the passing football they are capable of.We were concerned the game might turn into a battle and once again the boys proved they can mix it as well as play pretty football.The game started fairly even but halfway through the first half the boys started to get on top and create chances one of which led to Ryan Saunders providing a cool finish after a superb Richard Brain through ball.After the break some good football resulted in us being awarded a free-kick 35 yards out.Richard stepped up and buried one in the top corner to add another to his collection of outstanding goals.Cimla came into the game but some outstanding defending stopped Cimla having any real chances.Another superb team performance with special mentions for the four subs who encouraged the team throughout and showed patience waiting their chance to take a part in the game also a great performance from Jordan Norman who while he may not talk much is developing into a fine sweeper
