4/4/12 SUBSIDIARY CUP NEWS
West Ham United Ladies reserve team will have to wait until Thursday to find out who they will meet in thier FA Womens Premier League Reserves Subsidiary Cup semi final.
The semi final is scheduled for Easter Sunday at Flanders but as yet Bristol and Reading have not decided thier quarter final. Delays to Bristol finishing thier group matches, including a floodlight failure, meant the quarter final was already delayed a week and County Cup involvement saw it put back further to a 6.00 p.m. kick off last night. However with floodlghts not available and the game still tied at 3-3 the match was abandoned in extra time due to unplayable light. The two sides will now meet at Reading on Thursday night under flooodlights to decide who travels to London to meet the Hammers three days later.
The other semi final sees Chelsea take on Charlton Athletic with the respective winners heading to the final on Sunday 22nd April.

26/3/12 LEAGUE NEWS
West Ham United Ladies Reserve side will once again play in the FA Womens Premier League Reserve Division One South for the 2012/13 season after results elsewhere today meant they could not be caught by either of the bottom two sides, Watford and Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Hammers still have two games left to play and further points from thier trips to Arsenal and Bristol, could still see them rise as high as third place.

25/3/12 SUBSIDIARY CUP NEWS
The semi final line up for the FA Womens Premier League Reserves Subsidiary Cup became a little clearer after one outstanding quarter final was played and the last group match completed this weekend.
West Ham United will host either Bristol or Reading on Easter Sunday in one semi final whilst Charlton Atheltic, who beat QPR 5-1 in their quarter final, will travel to either Chelsea or Cardiff City in the other semi final.

21/3/12 EASTER FIXTURE CHANGES
West Ham United Ladies progress in the FA Womens Premier League Reserve Subsidiary Cup has meant changes to the fixture schedule due to other quarter finals and group matches not being completed in the scheduled date.
The Hammers will now play their semi final a week later than planned on Sunday 8th April (Easter Sunday) once Bristol Academy and Cardiff City have sorted out who will play Reading in the quarter final for the right to travel and meet West Ham United.
This means the league fixture with Arsenal originally cancelled on April 1st to make way for the orignal date of the cup semi final will now go ahead as planned.

13/2/12 SUBSIDIARY CUP NEWS
West Ham United Ladies reserve team will meet Gillingham on Sunday 18th March in the quarter final of the FA Womens Premier Reserve Subsidiary Cup in the only tie to be played on the scheduled day as other ties are disrupted by County Cup games or unfinished group matches.
Quarter Final Draw
Bristol or Cardiff City v Watford, Portsmouth or Reading (25th March)
Chelsea v Bristol or Cardiff City (25th March)
West Ham United v Gillingham (18th March)
Charlton Athletic v Queens Park Rangers (25th March)
Bristol's, rearranged quarter final date means that West Ham United's scheduled trip to the West Country on 25th March will now be rearranged for a yet undecided date in April.

5/3/12 QUIZ NIGHT
West Ham United Ladies are holding a fund raising quiz night on Friday 16th March at Aveley Football Club commencing at 7.30 p.m.
Team entry costs £10 with no more than five people in a team with all welcome including non members of the club.

4/3/12 SUBSIDIARY CUP NEWS
West Ham United Ladies reserve team have advanced to the quarter final of the FA Womens Premier League Reserves Subsidiary Cup with a game to spare after results elsewhere in the group. With Queens Park Rangers beating Colchester United by the same 3-2 scoreline as the Hammers managed last week both sides will advance.
The two teams lock horns next week to decide who tops the group where a draw would see a coin toss as both the Hammers and Rangers will have identical goal differences.
The winners of the group will host Gillingham whilst the runners up will visit Charlton Athletic in the quarter final.

13/1/12 SUBSIDIARY CUP
West Ham United Ladies Reserves will compete in the end of season FA Womens Premier League Subsidiary Cup competition after the details of the new event were realeased this week.
The mild and dry Autumn saw the reserve team league make good progress with their fixtures and so a cup competition for the Southern based teams has been put in place to give the sides some extra competitive football through the Spring.
The Hammers will meet Queens Park Rangers on February 12th and Colchester United two weeks later as part of a three team group from which the top two will advance to the quarter finals of a knock out stage.

17/12/11 BRISTOL CLASH OFF
West Ham United Ladies reserve teams trip to Bristol has been put on hold as the wetter weather this week caused the first postponement of their season with the waterlogged Filton College ground at Bristol failing a Saturday morning inspection.
The game wil now be rearranged for the new year with a Februray date looking most likely.

16/12/11 XMAS TRAINING SCHEDULE
The last training session for West Ham United Ladies prior to the Christmas break will be on Tuesday 20th December 2011.
Training will resume on Tuesday 4th January 2012 with both the first and reserve team back in action on Sunday 8th January.

15/12/11 LEAGUE REVISE FIXTURES
The FA Womens Premier League have released the dates for West Ham United Ladies reserve team's remaining league fixtures, all of which were games postponed for cup matches earlier in the season.
The Hammers will now visit Watford on Sunday 8th January, Charlton on Sunday 29th January before finishing their league programme with two matches against Arsenal playng away on Sunday 5th a February before a home game agianst the Gunners on Sunday 19th February (although this second game may have to be rearranged again should Arsenal proceed in the Hertfordshire County Cup).
The Hammers have also entered an end of season cup competition for reserve teams organised by the FA Womens Premier League which is hoped will see group matches played in March followed by a knockout stage.

7/12/11 ACTONIANS STEP IN
West Ham United Ladies reserve team will travel across to West London to take on South East Combination League side Old Actonians on Sunday.
The Hammers were due to meet Arsenal Ladies in the league but the Gunners are required to play a League Cup fixture postponed from last week leaving the Hammers fixtureless. However with Actonians also without a fixture due to Tooting & Mitchams withdfrawal from the Combination the two sides agreed meet in a friendly.

5/12/11 ARSENAL CLASH ON HOLD
West Ham United Ladies reserve teams first meeting with Arsenal this season has been put on hold until the New Year as Arsenal are required to play a League Cup tie on Sunday when they were scheduled to travel to Flanders Fields to meet the Hammers.
The Gunners League Cup tie with Chelsea was scheduled for last Sunday but the match was postponed and now takes precedence over league fixtures and so will be played this week.
The Hammers will now seek an alternative fixture.

31/10/11 LEAGUE FIXTURE CHANGES
West Ham United Ladies reserve team's FA Womens Premier Reserve League Division One South campaign will extend well into the new year with another fixture requiring rescheduling due to cup commitments.
The Hammers had already seen their trip to Arsenal earlier this month postponed because of their involvement in the London FA County Cup and the trip to Watford on November 20th has also been moved to an as yet unfixed date in 2012 due to Watford being on Hertfordshire County Cup duty that day.
On top of those two games a third away match has now been affected due to Charlton's success in the League Cup which sees them in quarter final action on December 4th when they had been due to host the Hammers.
Friendly fixtures will now be sought for the two blank dates this year and rescheduled dates for the three league fixtures are awaited from the League.
With the Hammers also in County Cup quarter final action on January 15th their competitive programme even with a continuation of favourable weather will almost certainly now run into February.

16/10/11 LONDON FA CUP LATEST
After their 6-0 opening round victory against Hackney Women, West Ham United Ladies will now travel to meet Mauritius Sports Association in the quarter finals of the London FA Womens Senior Cup on Sunday 15th January.  Mauritius Sports reached the quarter finals after a 5-2 victory over Kent Magpies.

26 August 2011 LEAGUE CUP DRAW

23/05/11 TEAM MANAGERS END OF SEAOSN REPORT
Jim Maycock, West Ham United Ladies reserve team manager presented the following end of season report at the club's Annual General Meeting last night:
This season was always destined to be a challenge. Losing the goals of two experienced strikers from the last two seasons along with three other experienced reserve team players meant some rebuilding and more importantly a change in style of play.
It is to the great credit of the side that they have flourished under the new style, sticking with it in the early part of the league season when results were not going our way. An unbeaten seven match pre season had settled the younger players down well but whilst to a degree we make our own luck in football there was no denying the side were beset by poor fortune during the Autumn and a series of injuries to goalkeepers we used six in seven games - and cruel last minute goals in three games saw us go into the turn of the year bottom of the table.
However from that point on our battling qualities emerged and our luck changed. Two very narrow losses in the league and cup to Arsenal and a magnificent point at Chelsea just after Christmas gave the side confidence and wins against Watford away and Cardiff at home gave us a chance of securing our status in the top flight.
However reserve team football is never straight forward and, with some clubs manipulating fixture dates to play games when they could field first teams, other results conspired to go against us and all looked lost with defeat at home to Watford before it transpired they had once again played ineligible players and the result was reversed.
The final game of the season saw how tight the division was as we held Arsenal to a goal less draw to secure safety and deny them the title in place of Chelsea off whom we had also taken a point. The target for next year must be to ensure the performances in those two games are matched in the games against teams at the bottom of the table.
There are many to thank, obviously Ross, Jamie and Julian for the invaluable coaching support and Tracy, Glenn and Emma for treating the numerous injuries and getting the side on the pitch as much as possible, but also the small band of parents and friends that have travelled the breadth of Southern England with us this season and remained positive in their support and comments when the results were not forthcoming as they could see the progress we were making - this was so vital to keep the morale of the players.

27/04/11RESERVES AWARDED POINTS AND SAFETY
West Ham United Ladies Reserve team have maintained their status in the top flight of reserve team football after they were awarded the points from this seasons outstanding games.
The Hammers had been awaiting the rulings on the games with Reading who had failed to fulfill their fixture and Watford who played ineligible players and the league committee have decided in both cases to award the points from the games to West Ham leaving them in 6th place in the FA Womens Premier League Reserve Division One South and safe from the relegation spots.
An updated table can be seen via the link on the left.

01/04/11 RESERVES AWAIT FA VERDICT
West Ham United Ladies Reserves were left with a blank weekend when for the second time this season Reading failed to fulfill their home fixture with the Hammers. After a late withdrawal through having had insufficient players to host the game in March the Berkshire side were surpisingly given a second opportunity to play the game when the FA declined to award the points to the Hammers and rearranged the game for this Sunday but on Wednesday evening the news emerged that once again Reading would not be putting out a side.
A further decision from the FA on the status of the game is now awaited.

11/03/11 BLANK SUNDAY
West Ham United Ladies Reserve team faced another blank weekend when plans to play Yeovil Town in a friendly fixture fell flat as first team call ups, injuries and illness meant the Somerset outfit could not raise enough players to form a team to make the journey up to London.
Without a league game scheduled during the month the Hammers are relying on friendlies to keep their sharpness and were looking to continue their impressive recent form before taking on Chelsea next weekend.

27/02/11 FRUSTRATION MOUNTS
West Ham United Ladies reserves will be in search of friendly fixtures during March to keep them ticking over as they await dates to play their remaining league games as a bizarre set of coincidences involving the Hertfordshire County Cup in which they do not play has caused havoc with their planned programme.
This weekends rain caused the second postponment of Watford's Herts County Cup semi final with Garston and so that tie will now be played next Sunday when the Hammers were meant to meet Watford causing that game to be postponed.
No game was scheduled for the Hammers on Sunday 13th but they were due to meet Arsenal the following Saturday which happens to be the date of the Hertfordshire County Cup Final which Arsenal reached courtesy of a 5-0 over Stevanage today and so that game too is now postponed.
The Hammers can not rearrange the games with Watford or Arsenal on the 27th either as the two sides have a league meeting - seven days after they will possibly have met in the Hertfordshire Cup Final.

24/02/11 RESERVES FRUSTRATION
West Ham United Ladies Reserve teams crucial clash with bottom of the table Reading on Sunday has been postponed with the Berkshire side unable to raise a team to fulfill the fixture.
The in form Hammers who were looking to stretch their unbeaten run to four matches in their battle to avoid the drop are awaiting an FA ruling on the status of the game.

19/02/11 FUTSAL SUCCESS FOR RESERVES
West Ham United Ladies reserves sent a small squad to the Essex FA run Futsal event at Southend Leisure Centre on Friday evening.
The Hammers most of whom had never played the fast paced five a side version of the game before were quick to adjust to the heavier ball and displayed the necessary ball control and quick passing to win all four of their games.
Squad: Kelly Cooper, Leigh Houlihan, Emily Masters, Zoe Lipley-Hinton, Sophie Reed, Katie Bottom.

01/02/11 ARSENAL GAME REARRANGED
West Ham United Ladies reserves league fixture with Arsenal will now require a new date after Arsenal's progress in the Hertfordshire Cup meant they are required to play a semi final tie in that competition on Sunday 13th February in place of the league meeting with the Hammers.
The side meet Watford this weekend in the last confirmed league fixture with dates still awaited from the FA Women's Premier League for the outstanding fixtures away at Reading, away at Arsenal, away at Cardiff and at home to Watford.

14/01/11 COUNTY CUP CLASH POSTPONED
West Ham United Ladies trip to Arsenal in the London FA County Cup has been put on hold after the heavy rain this week caused the postponment of the fixture. A Friday pitch inspection confirmed the news with the game now rearranged for Sunday 23rd January.

17/12/10 SNOW GO IN WALES
Friday's snowstorms have left the Cardiff City pitch under six inches of snow and therefore caused the postponement the Hammers trip to Wales their FA Womens Premier League fixture on Sunday
The match will now be rearranged for late February or early March.

15/12/10 WATFORD GAME TO BE REPLAYED
Following an FA Womens Premier League quarterly meeting it has been announced that the game between West Ham United Ladies reserves and Watford Ladies reserves from the opening day of the season is to be replayed.
Watford inadvertantly played two unregistered players in the fixture along with games against Chelsea and Cardiff City on the following two weeks of the season and the committee have ruled that the games in which they picked up points should be replayed, so they will also replay with Cardiff whom they beat along with the Hammers off whom they grabbed the three points with two very late goals.
No date has yet been set for the fixture.

03/12/10 TWO GAMES OFF FOR RESERVES
West Ham United Ladies reserves had two matches postponed within five minutes of each other due to the latest freezing weather conditions.
Unsurprisingly Watford's pitch failed a Friday pitch inspection and Sunday's FA Womens Premier Reserve League Division One South match with them was duly postponed (having been rearranged from last week when it was also postponed).
Then within five minutes a call came from Arsenal with news that their League Cup with Everton had been also been cancelled due to the weather and will now be played next Sunday in place of the planned league fixture against the Hammers.
West Ham United reserves will now seek a friendly fixture for that date.

27/11/10 FROZEN HAMMERS
West Ham United Ladies reserve teams fixture against Watford fell victim to the freezing weather with the pitch at Watford's Sun Postal Sports Ground declared unfit for play on Saturday evening.

03/10/10 READING WASH OUT
After last season's weather disprupted season the postponements have started even earlier this year with the reserves clash with Reading called off after torrential rain over the preceeding twenty four hours left the pitch strewn with puddles.

27/07/10 LEAGUE CUP DRAW
West Ham United Ladies reserve team will face a trip up the A12 to meet Colchester United in the first round of the FA Women's Premier League Cup after the draw was issued today.
The match will be played on Sunday 26th September.

07/07/10 HAMMERS TO HOST WATFORD IN LEAGUE OPENER
West Ham United Ladies reserve team will begin their FA Womens Premier Reserve League Southern Division One campaign entertaining Watford at Flanders Fields on Sunday 5th September after the new season fixture list was released today.
The Hammers will then travel across the Thames to take on Charlton Athletic

29/06/10 PRE SEASON TRAINING
West Ham United Ladies return to training in early July as both the senior and junior sides prepare for the new season ahead.
Senior training commences at Chadwell Heath on Tuesday 6th July and existing and invited new players should assemble at 7.15 in the car park for a 7.30 start.

17/06/10 FA WOMENS PREMIER LEAGUE CHANGES 2010/2011
The FA Tesco Premier League AGM was held on June 13th where plans were finalised for the 2010/2011 season.
With the Womens Super League causing changes to the league membership, some rule changes were required and for the 2010/2011 season Premier League sides will only be permitted to field one player per game who is signed to a Super League team.
However Super League reserve teams are being allowed to compete alongside their Premier League conterparts in the reserve divisions.
The FA Tesco Premier Reserve League Cup, will be played as a knockout competition with the early rounds regionalised.

26/05/10 TEAM MANAGERS END OF SEASON REPORT
Andie Woodley, West Ham United Ladies reserve team manager presented the following end of season report at the club's Annual General Meeting at Upton Park last night:
After the excitement of gaining promotion to top flight reserve team football, the reality of a tough season ahead started in September but I am very pleased to say that we achieved what we set out to do, secure our future for another season at this level, finishing a very credible 5th.
The biggest challenges we faced were the games against Arsenal & Chelsea, who boasted many England starlets in their line ups, both teams would fair well playing in the Southern National alongside our first team. Watford & Bristol had established themselves at that level for a number of years, so we set our sights at 4th or 5th.
Due to player availability and not having the right mix of players, the season didnt start as well as we would have hoped. However the results didnt reflect how well we had played, the effort shown and how close we were to gaining our first points of the season.
Our first points came in a win against Barnet at Flanders and another win against them in the league cup, this really boosted our confidence. Tough away trips to Bristol Academy in league and cup in October ended in defeats, however our performances continued to improve and team spirit remained high.
The highlights of the season for me were, after being one down to Millwall winning the game 5-1. The celebration when we scored against Chelsea. Winning our last game of the season 2-0 at Barnet with no goals conceded against them in all 3 matches played. The game of the season was our dramatic turnaround against Bristol Academy, being two down at half time, going on to win the game 3-2. Once again the team spirit was absolutely fantastic that day.
Id like to thank Dani & Mark for all their help on matchdays and Dani for doing a great job leading the team by example week in week out. Also, Mark, Emma, Julian, Alex, Gwynne, Roy, Colin, Jim & Tony for their expertise and time, all which is greatly appreciated. The supporters have played their part too, thank you.
Many people have contributed to our great season and I want to thank in particular the players for all their hard work and commitment. A fantastic group who have made this potentially difficult season a real pleasure, good luck to you all for next season and many season to come.
As many of you know that after eighteen seasons with WHULFC I have decided to call it a day. I have lots of very good memories and have made many good friends. I have enjoyed all my seasons here as both a player and staff. Thank you everyone.

19/03/10 RESERVES SET FOR RARE SUNDAY OUTING
Football matches have become like buses for the West Ham United Ladies reserve team as having waited weeks for one to come along they find themselves with two coming on top of each other.
After Wednesday night's league encounter with Watford - their first league game since November - the Hammers are set to meet Reading on Sunday in a vital FA Tesco Womens Premier Reserve League Divsion One clash.

10/03/10 RESERVES SET FOR ACTION
West Ham United Ladies reserve team are set for their first game since late January after a string of postponments - through weather related cancellations and oppositions scratching - with an away fixture at Barnet.
The Hammers second string still have four crucial league matches to play, starting against the Bees on Sunday, as they seek to consolidate in their first season in the FA Tesco Premier Reserve League South Division One after last years promotion.

10/20/10 RESERVES AWAIT A DATE
West Ham United Ladies reserve team are awaiting the dates for their remaining four league games in the FA Tesco Womens Premier League Reserve South Division One.
The Hammers are still due to play Reading home and away subject to an FA ruling), Barnet away and Watford away, all of which were postponed earlier in the season, but as yet have not had revised dates sent through. With many other fixtures in the division also still to be played and several teams still involved in respective county cup action it has not been possible to fill the blank dates with friendlies so the side will be raring to go once the fixtures are announced.

2/11/09 HORNETS AND GUNNERS DELAYED
Opposition Cup commitments have seen the postponment of two November fixtures for West Ham United Ladies reserve team.
Planned opponents for 15th November, Watford, have a Hertfordshire County Cup tie to battle out and the 29th November sees Arsenal take on Chelsea in the FA Tesco Womens Premier Reserve League Cup rather than travelling to Flanders Fields to take on the Hammers.
Both games along with the weather hit match at Reading from last Sunday will be rearranged for the New Year, now taking the Hammers league season well into February.

21/10/09 RESERVES UP FOR THE CUP IN THE WEST COUNTRY
West Ham United Ladies reserve team head back to Filton College on Sunday to take on Bristol Academy in the FA Premier Reserve League Cup.
The Hammers second string travel to the West Country in good heart after last Sunday's last gasp win against Barnet, coincidently the team they put out in the previous round.

13/08/09 RESERVES SET FOR NEW HOME
West Ham United Ladies reserve team will have a new home for the forthcoming FA Tesco Premier League South Division One Reserve League season after arrangements were finalised for the team to use Flanders Playing Fields in East Ham.
The ground is already the base for the club's junior sides and following the building of the brand new Bobby Moore Pavilion offers changing and after match facilties in keeping with the sides status.
Junior Secretary, Jim Maycock felt the switch will be beneficial for the whole club. "The reserves coming back to Flanders will give our junior sides the opportunity to see the standard of football they need to be aiming for in the next few years and help further bring the club together. We have a terrific relationship with the Bonnydowns Community Association who manage the site and thank them allowing us to switch the reserves to Flanders at such short notice. The pitches at Flanders are in my opinion some of the best in London and the new Bobby Moore Pavilion is simply awesome."

12/08/09 HERE COME THE BELGIANS
West Ham United Ladies reserve team will be facing a series of international opponents in the build up to their first season in the FA Tesco Womens Premier Reserve League Divsion One South.

19/05/09 TEAM MANAGERS END OF SEASON REPORT
Andie Woodley, West Ham United Ladies Reserve Team Manager presented the following end of season report at the clubs Annual General Meeting at Upton Park last night:
This season has been a complete success with the reserves finishing as the Champions, the first ever piece of silverware that a reserve team has won in our seventeen year history.
The season kicked off on the 7th September with a one nil win against Crystal Palace at home. The side included four new signings, all recruited from the trials day in June and all have remained regulars in the squad throughout the season. Our first loss was in our third game but we bounced back with a run of six unbeaten league games, scoring twenty goals and only conceding four. Due to the bad weather these six games spanned from end of September to mid March. We were wondering if we were ever going to play a league game again! A defeat to our nearest title challengers Reading, was then followed by an eleven game unbeaten run with an incredible fifty goals scored with just thirteen conceded.
We finished with 53 points from a possible 63 as CHAMPIONS.
The reserves also entered the London Cup and reserve league cup competitions. The London cup run was ended by Arsenal whose team on the night included five regular first team players. In the league cup a 4-3 victory against a very strong Charlton side saw the reserves progress to the next round in a thrilling 4-4 draw with Watford from the division above (who have finished third). Sadly we lost in the penalty shoot out.
Our coach Rob McWilliams has been outstanding. I would personally like to thank him, as I am sure the players would, for all of his hard work, time and effort, in improving our style of play.
My thanks also go to Tony, Alex, Colin, Inge & Julian, along with the players families & friends, you all have contributed to our success and I am really grateful for all of your help & assistance. I would also like to add my congratulations to all the players and managers in the club for their achievements this season.
It has been pleasing to see that so many of the senior players have played for the reserves and that many of the reserves have featured in the first team; it has been a real squad effort. Every single player who has represented the reserves has been a real credit to our club. Their professionalism on and off the pitch has been first class. Their attitude and application has made this season what it is, a resounding success.
Thank you Ladies
