West Ham United Ladies reserves rounded off their season with the long trip out to Bristol to take on the league runners up on the 3G pitch at their impressive Filton College complex.
The Hammers started brightly and Rea Laudat had the first shot of the game having raced down the left she fired goalwards from twenty five yards but the home keeper saved well above her head. Another quick break saw Laudat switch the ball inside where Lindsey Morgan swept in a low shot that just past the wrong side of the near upright.
However it was the hosts who opened the scoring when following good work on either flank the centre forward found space to turn and rifle home from twelve yards out and ten minutes later they had doubled the lead when the same player turned neatly following a surge down the left she had been picked out by a well judged cross and was able to loft the ball over the advancing Kate Duffy.
The Hammers counter attack play was causing the hosts problems and it seemed harsh ont he side to go into the break two goals in arrears.
The seocnd spell again saw the Hammers start brightly but nothing would uite fall for the side with through balls just finding a touch of an outstretched defensive leg to divert them from the target and balls not quite settling when shooting chances were made.
The hosts added a third with twenty minutes to go when teeing up a shot form the edge of the box which was pwerfully hit into the roof of the net but the Hammers finsihed strngly and when Morgan slipped the ball into the the path of Rea Laudat she was able to round the keper and turn the ball home from an acute angle for a well deserved goal. 
Kate Duffy pulled off two late saves and the Hammers pushed for a further consolation with Katie Bottom volleying just wide form distance but ultimately the side retunred back down the M4 without the reward their magnificent effort deserved but able to reflect on another season where they have shown the ability to compete at the highest level of reserve team footbal.
