This Sunday would see the start of the defence of the Under 16 League Cup for our young West Ham Ladies away against local rivals Redbridge Ladies and despite the wind, rain and a very wet and muddy pitch both teams tried to make a game of it by keeping the ball out of the mud bath in the middle of the pitch. Redbridge came into this game off the back of some good results but in truth the West Ham young ladies showed too much quality across the pitch on the day for a very sprited Redbridge team as the Hammers Ladies ran out easy winners. However credit must be given on the day to both sets of players as to the good sprit in which this game was played in awful conditions.

Half time: 0-6 Full time 1-11.

Managers player of match: Kimmilee Day who battled all day up front and was rewarded with a hat-trick in the second half.
