The under 16's were playing their first game for 8 weeks due to the poor weather in December and January against 21st Allstars at Sandy Flatts.
WB started really well, playing some nice flowing football and had a few chances to score but could find the opening. However on 21 minutes 21st Allstars caught WB on the break and scored to take the lead.
WB became very nervous and it showed when on 30 minutes they gave away a free kick on the edge of the penalty area. The keeper flapped at the front post and the 21st allstars forward tapped in from close range. The home side then scored the goal of the game to bring them back into the game. Mark Puvis scoring his first for the club with a volley after a well worked move over the pitch.
However some poor defending in the last 6 minutes of the half resulted in the away side scoring twice to take the half time score to 4-1.
The pressure continued after the break as 21st Allstars took complete control of the game as they scored a 5th, but again poor defending was the home sides downfall.
The Banks started to settle and again began to play some decent stuff but just lacked the finishing touch. In the 60th minute they earned a penalty, but Ross Day put the ball over the bar.
21st Allstars scored the last goal of the game to make it 6-1, a scoreline which didnt really tell the story of the game. Some poor defending and lack of finishing cost the home side the chance of getting something out of the game.
