This is the Whiston Juniors Celtic team website which was started when we began our journey as Under 7s.
Whiston Juniors Football Club was formed in 1985. We are a local Club with 14 teams,from Under 7 through to Under 16s, with a rich heritage and superb track record to be proud of. Our current squad began training in Autumn 05. We split the squad into two equal teams in May 06. We began our trail of glory when Whiston Juniors Celtic Under 7s entered the Liverpool FC Festival of fun 2006 where we finished runners-up and The Everton FC Festival of fun 2007 which we won. We played in the Rainhill & St.Helens Mini Soccer League 2006/2007 Under 7s Division with our sister team Whiston Juniors Rangers U7s.
We have also won the Foxhall Juniors Easter Tournament in Blackpool in a 20 team competition (conceding only once and that in the final!) We beat the hosts Foxhall A in the Final.
We won the 2006/07 Under 7s League Championship with an undefeated record of 25 wins and 2 draws, scoring 116 and conceding 7. This was before the FA banned 'competitive' football for U7s.
We won The U7s Division Challenge Cup beating St Annes Celtic 4-0 to complete a first season League and Cup Double.
We won the Barclays Bank 'Gadbrook Cup' tournament in Knutsford in June(conceding only one goal in 70 minutes gametime and scoring 17. We beat Mossley Hill 3-1 in the Final
We won the JMU Invitational in July, beating the hosts Marshalls in the final and our sister team Whiston Rangers in the Semi final conceding 1 and scoring 12 in 75 minutes.
The U8s season saw us start in Group B and win this group. The Divisions were then split with Group A having the top 7 teams from both original groups.
Our first victory as U8s was a repeat of last years Everton Festival of Fun tournament in early feb 2008. This was followed by defending last years title by winning Division 1, becoming runners up in the Challenge Cup, winning the Newton Athletic and Vauxhall Motors tournaments. We have added quality players to the squad to replace those we have lost to help continue this success story.

Nicknames: THE BOYOS (Not mis-spelt it's our version as we were Whiston Juniors Celtic until we became U12s), Whizzy Boys, The Mean Machine, 'Waverham'(Mistaken identity)
