CLUB HISTORY
History (10/10/06)

Whitefield Norpol F.C. was originally founded in 1998 as Whitefield Wanderers F.C. Mark Vieyra who is now the Chairman and Joint 1st team manager formed the club for the local youths as at the time was looking for a club for his son Jay to join without success. With the help of Frank & Bernadette Lyons and his wife Jackie on the committee the club was formed.

The team started off playing in the Northants 92 league for 2 seasons and then continuing in the John Henry League. The first two seasons started with only one youth team and after that another youth team succesfully joined the club winning their division in 2000/2001.

With the help of Nathan Muir the Northants Police approached Mark in 2001 to ask if the club would be interested in starting a new under 18`s team for the local teenagers. The club decided to introduce a new team to compete in the Northants Combination League and changing the name to Whitefield Norpol. The club now had the use of the excellent facilities at Wootton Hall, Mereway.

In the first season they won the reserve Division Three and finished runners up in the league cup final. The following season the Northants Combination League committee promoted the club to Division Two and were only one game down being the last game of the season for another championship settling for promotion to Division One.

Bob Ainsworth then joined the club with his youth team and successfully winning the County Cup at Sixfields in 2002/2003 season, the under 12`s division in the John Henry League and also the John Henry League cup.

Whitefield Mens team then went on the next season to win the Division 1 cup in the 2003/2004 season being let down at the last minute by Sixfields, Raunds stepped in to host a brilliant and memorable day.

Bob Ainsworth then started a new Mens Reserve team and again had a successful first seson in 2005/2006 being promoted to Reserve Division Two.

More recently, Benny took over the reserve side and immediately engineered his team to the league and cup double to mean that for the first time in Whitefield's history, both the senior and reserve teamsn are now in the respective premier divisions - not bad for 10 years !!!!!
