By the time Combe took the lead midway through the first half, they must have wondered how they were not 6 or 7 nil up already. Shane Bell, Aaron Merryweather and James Stone all guilty of missing at least 1, 1 on 1 chance each. Combe finally took the lead when Lee Fernandez raced clear to score James Stone scored number 2 after good work from Ben Munns. Aaron Merryweather scored the third just before half time. The second half was the same as the first one way traffic, Lee Fernandez scored combes 4th goal of the game. Aaron Merryweather soon added combes 5th goal of the game. James Stone then scored his second to leave Aaron, Lee and himself all on a Hattrick. Number 7 came from a unlightly source when Luke Hodder was fouled in the penalty area, right back Chris Scollen took & scored the penalty to claim his first goal for Whitehart Combe, and first goal in quite a few years. James Stone thought he won the race to the hattrick goal when he headed home late on but it was ruled out for offside.
