Report

Lovely jubbly. Despite going 1 down to an unfeasibly fluky volley, the Mighty (for this week at least) Horse battled back aided by the unfortunate fact that Cavvy had no further subs to replace their injured right winger. Not much had happened until the appearance of the ambulance, both sides struggling to play football on the thick african savannah that is now prevalent in Wadesmill. Cavvy being very unimpressive despite their high league standing. They were even more so after the break (not the H-T one). We finally started playing like we can. One touch passes, pulling players out of position. Beautiful. We pulled level when a cut back into the box found a lost Welshman who controlled (unbelievable), then found the corner of the net (I'm not making this up). Matty then had a good chance pushed onto the bar, before waltzing thru only to be hacked down by the fat goalkeeper. Now this is where it gets interesting. By the laws of the game, a professional foul is punishable by a red card. Fat boy only saw yellow, thanks to everyones favourite ref, Pasquale, the only one who has a whistle and never blows it. But after Chris had scored the penalty, He saw fit to Red-card Timmy for abuse, which he was in his right to do, but seeing as he had been taking worse abuse from everyone else, including me for the previous 85 minutes. ITS CALLED CONSISTENCY. Well....oh and he booked Matt for persistant fouling 3, yes thats THREE minutes into the game. Anyway thats why instead of scenes of celebration at the whistle, there were scenes more appropriate to Stamford Bridge. Well done anyway Lads, looks like the fair play will have to wait this year.
