Welcome to Wickersley Youth FC’s Pre-Soccer School Academy.

The Academy takes place every Friday 7pm to 8pm and is open to boys and girls aged between 5 & 7 of all abilities.

We believe that every player, given the opportunity can improve dramatically and play far beyond the limits they might normally set for themselves. We do this by providing a unique level of training and coaching that is logically structured, in order to encourage each player to progress.

Each player will have the opportunity to master their ball skills, develop individual attacking skills and solve problems that only the game itself presents. Football skills are vital, shooting, passing, ball control, heading, more advanced skills, for example, changes of direction, fakes to beat an opponent etc… these are all the essential foundation for success. We at the Academy will encourage all the players to achieve this success whilst at the same time having fun.

All sessions are structured to involve ball work, skills development and a game, with particular emphasis on having fun, whilst training.

All we ask is that the players attend with a positive mind, a willingness to learn, to have commitment, determination and most importantly, a sense of fun. In return they will receive a high standard of coaching geared specifically towards the needs of each individual.
