First Season 2008/9

This team formed in the summer of 2008. Their first season in the Sheffield and Hallamshire Girls County League proved to be both an enjoyable and very successful one. All girls improved enormously and as their confidence grew a run of victories prior to Christmas put them in second place in the league. After Christmas though the poor weather led to some games being postponed which seemed to affect the momentum of the team and the games in the second half of the season proved more challenging as teams demonstrated significant improvement.. The girls eventually finished a very creditable third in the league and runners up in the cup.
