Unfortunately this season one of our young ladies has decided to follow other interests but we wish her good luck with whatever she decides to do. Tamara Shaw came to the club in the summer of 2007 and is one of the original members of the team. Last season Tamara tried several positions finally settling into the roles of defender or right of midfield, she had come to the rescue for the new season and was to take up the position of goalkeeper, the goalkeeper from last season moving up to the older age group. Over the pre season period Tamara had taken on the role of goalkeeper with great enthusiasm following in her older brothers' footsteps and had developed tremendously, becoming a solid handler of the ball. Tamara will be greatly missed as she is a gracious player, never complains and always wanting to get on the pitch and join in the action. Good luck Tamara, we will miss your sunny disposition.
In junior football, should all players be given the same amount of time on the pitch during a game, regardless of ability?
Yes, always. Getting kids involved is the most important thing.
Yes, unless it is an important game.
No. Winning is important at all ages, so the best players should play more often.
