As you are all aware, the squad is now 13 strong meaning we all wont get a game every week. This means i have the hard task of asking people to drop out every week. I dont want to have to do it, but i assembled the squad knowing it would happen and i will be telling people on the friday before the game in a face-to-face basis. If you are asked to drop out for one week, you will be selected the following week. Nobody will be asked to miss 2 consecutive fixtures. Everybody, including myself, will miss games for this reason throughout the season. I feel having good squad depth will increase our chances of having a successful season and we will feel the benefits of the 'squad rotation' system as the seasons climax draws nearer. I feel I am approachable, and if anybody is unhappy with this policy then feel free to ask me anything on the matter. The most important thing (from my part) about having to ask people to drop out is that I want to make it clear it wont be a personal vendetta against any individual, and selection will not be swayed by the quality of the opposition. In closing, I probably wont have to ask people every week as there are always things popping up that makes people unavailable anyway, but if you are asked to drop out for one game then that is all it will be. I expect dissapointment from players as i will be dissapointed myself when i will stand down, but please remember it isnt personal, and you will be restored to the squad the following week. All players must make themselves either available or unavailable for selection no later than the Friday before the next game. Please make sure you are 100% certain as it has a knock on effect from Manager to other players. Thankyou.
