U16 Girls Triumph in County Cup

The U16 Purples took on a capable Cambridge City team at Soham in the Cambs County Cup Final. A thrilling encounter saw a Saints team bristling with confidence step up to the mark. Matching the favourites all the way through to a nail biting penalty shoot out, after normal and extra time finished all square at 3 all. Saints held their nerve and ran out winners 3 - 2 on penalties.

Massive congrats go to the players, coaching staff and supporters who all had a hand in this fantastic result. Happy hunting in the regional finals for the Tesco Cup for which the girls now qualify as the Cambridgeshire County Cup winners.
