A game where we deserved something and got nothing.

Some outstanding displays from Kieran and Owen with some exciting wing play from Ben we were very unlucky not to get anything from this game.

For the last game of the season, we had made a couple of changes, Kieran started only his second game in defence and Harry started on the left wing in place of Alex. We started off well, with Owen controlling the midfield and not allowing their start player any time on the ball. Kieran and Ethan worked very well in defence and cleared up anything that got passed Owen.

At the other end, Ben was tormenting their left flank and Harry-s pace was causing all kinds of trouble down their right. The chances were comming and only some resolute defending and some very fortunate goalkeeping on their part meant the score remained level at half time.

In the second half, changes were made to the team, Alex was introduced in place of Harry to combat their strong midfielder and Brad took over from Ethan at the back.

We continued to control the middle and were playing some very simple but very effective football. Alex slipped the ball into George, who moved it ontl Ben moving down the right wing. Ben smashed his shot hard against the bar and only a lucky flick from the goalkeeper prevented the ball from landing at George-s feet for the opening goal.

Adam was introduced with 5 minutes to go as a replacement for Ben, but slotted into the defence allowing Kieran to push forward a little more.

With only a minute left, Stourbridge won a throw in which was launched into the area. As Jack came to claim the ball, the ball was flicked over his hands and into the empty net.

George managed a couple of very good efforts on goal which were very well saved by the keeper before the ref called an end to the season
