Withymoor Colts Under 7s Junior football team announced their support for the Friends of Alfie Johnson Trust at the Clubs main sponsor Westlands Toyota, 3 year old Alfie Johnson is a local boy from Amblecote who unfortunately suffered from oxygen starvation at birth which left him with devastating brain injuries and is now in need of constant care 24 hours a day. Equipment required to make Alfies life as comfortable as possible is extremely expensive and the Withymoor team are very keen to do everything to promote the Trust set up to raise the required funds. Withymoor Colts are a Community Standard club and Manager Ian Bennett, commented The club has always supported such worthwhile causes in the local community and I was delighted to give the teams support to such adeserving case as Alfie. The Trustees give of their time voluntarily and I am delighted that this event here today at Westlands Toyota gives us the perfect opportunity to promote and support their activities. I would ask anyone who would like to help to contact the Trustees on the address below Mark Smith a Trustee added We are extremely grateful to both Withymoor and Westlands for giving us this opportunity. Since our organisation was formed back in February 2009, we have raised enough money through various fund-raising events and kind donations from so many wonderful people to be able to provide Alfie with an array of various pieces of equipment that has enhanced the quality of his life in a positive way. Without the support of so many wonderful people we would not be able to give the help and support that Alfie needs and indeed deserves. We are truly grateful to everyone at Withymoor Colts and Westlands Toyota for showing their support and look forward to working with them over the coming months so We can continue the positive work we do for Alfie. Shiv Trikha Westlands Sales Director said Westlands have been associated with Withymoor Colts now for over 4 years and continue to be impressed with the excellent work the football club does in the local community. This is another superb example of their activities and we are delighted to play our part in the promotion of the Friends of Alfie Johnson Trust.
