The club was first started out as Woldingham Colts back in 1990 by Dave Stock and after a while was taken over by Roz Schwarz-In 1996 Tony Cornwell was asked to assist with the boys until they were too old to continue in the Tandridge Youth League. In 2002 the team of Woldingham Village Reserves was formed from some of the boys from the Colts along with others from Surrey Police. Some of the Colts then left for university but the team finished 4th in the 5th Division of the Redhill & District League. In season 2003-2004 the league then abolished the 5th divison and the team was put into the 4th other players then started to join the club and they won the league with a goal difference of plus 61 and were the highest goal scorers in all 4 divisons. In 2004-2005 due to some unforeseen circumstances the team broke away from the Village team and Woldingham Social FC and reserves were formed. It was funny season really with expectation high but promotion was the main aim. The 1st team did well by finishing runners up in the league losing it by one point and to get to the League Cup final losing out to Charlwood Village 3-2 aet, and getting to the Surrey Cup quarter final losing 8-7 on penalties to Goodfellas Fc (who went on to win it). So all in all not a bad season but with a bit of luck we felt we could have done the treble but as the old saying goes "Thats football". The reserves was being managed by Steve Clancey but with trying to play and manage the team was a difficult task but they managed to not finish the season too badly. This season 2005-2006 some player left the club and the reserves got a new manager Keith Long. Both teams were struggling to field teams but have managed to get through the season and things have started to look better. With new players signing and with the folding of Whyteleafe Tavern, 6 of their players have signed, and things look good for the new season 2006/2007.
What is the best way to settle a cup tie that is level after normal time?
Extra time, then penalties
Straight to penalties
Golden goal extra time, then penalties
Golden goal all the way, removing one player from each team at regular intervals
Extra time, then shootout - players start on halfway and have 15 seconds to shoot
Might as well just toss a coin!
