NEWSLETTER - NOVEMBER 08

I would like to congratulate you all on a tremendous start to the new season. In the league we still have a 100% record our only slip up coming in the County Cup against Wrekengton again under different circumstances that result could have gone our way. Hopefully we will have the chance to get a good run in the Ray Foster Cup in the New Year.
Our last game before Xmas is the 14th Dec then we have a 3 week lay off till the New Year, I’m trying to arrange the Wallsend game for the 4th Jan (keep you informed on the website).During the break I’m hoping to enter a couple of teams in the 6 a side tournament held at Soccer Arena Durham on Sunday 28th Dec, if you don’t want to be involved or you are away can you please let me know so I can sort numbers out.
While we are on the Xmas theme we will be having a Xmas raffle if you or your parents would like to donate a prize to help us out let me know so I can add it to the list. We are also hoping to organise a bag pack at one of the big supermarkets this along with the raffle will hopefully raise some money to help run the club and go towards the end of season trip away.

TEAM
We have a large squad of players now involved in the team and it is very hard for myself to keep everyone happy week in week out even when we are winning.Unfortunatly this season we have already lost 2 players Cavan for personal reasons and Damon who wanted more football than I could offer him, I would just like to say just how important a big squad is, it is very rare we will go through a full season using only eleven players. Sickness, Holidays and tiredness will all affect the team at some stage that is why substitutes play such an important part in the team as the eleven on the field. In our team we have 15 excellent footballers who when asked can play in more than one position for the team in my eyes that’s a big plus point.

The clock is ticking so if we decide to go again I need to get our name down and a deposit a.s.a.p.Have a talk with your parents and let me know, me personally I thought it was a huge success on and off the field. May be a higher quality hotel wouldn’t go a miss.

Still waiting for your input for the website. I need a couple of sentences about yourself as a footballer and playing for Wolsingham so I can add it to your profiles. Don’t be shy boast about yourself make it funny but keep it clean.
Eg.
Craig Milner – Goal Keeper - 2nd only to Pepe Raina, probably the best keeper this side of Tow law (actually probably the only one).
