HIGH FIVE FOR WOLSINGHAM AT NISSAN

Wolsingham continued there remarkable start to the season with another away win at Nissan Sunderland.A full squad had travelled to Sunderland and all were needed as Nissan made Wolsingham work really hard for the 3 points.Wolsingham got off to a great start when top scorer L.Armstrong shot home inside 5 mins to give Wolsingham something to build on but Nissan had other ideas. With such a small pitch the midfields were finding it very hard to find any space Lambard, Milner, Arrowsmith & Paterson were working very hard but being matched by Nissan. With little space Wolsingham couldn’t get there passing game going and were relying on balls over the top for the front men Kieran & Luke Armstrong.Wolsingham went 2 up midway through the first half when Lambard hit a sweet 20 yard curling shot into the top corner giving the keeper no chance. Nissan never let there heads go down but with centre backs Shuttleworth and Carrick on top form never really troubled Raine in goal, left & right backs Richardson and Bromley also having a great game covering when needed and helping the midfield in attack.Lambard got his second to give Wolsingham a 3-0 half time lead.Wolsingham started the second half much the same but again had to work really hard to create the chances for the Armstrong boys up front, L.Armstrong grabbed his second with a brilliant run ghosting round a number of defenders and then finishing into the bottom corner. With 15 mins to go Gayer and C.Armstrong were introduced to add a bit more pace to the attack and with in a couple of mins L.Armstrong was upended in the box to give Wolsingham a penalty.Lambard stepped up to calmly stroke the ball home to claim his hat-trick, more subs were made in the last 10 mins Longstaff & Crawford coming on to help Wolsingham claim another great away victory.
