After a slight technical error with the venue's postcode, Worcester Colts eventually arrived at Gloucestershire University Campus to take part in the 2012 Danacle Futsal Tournament.

A brief warm up preceeded the boys leading out to Champions League music, the customary hand shakes took place and then the boys 1st Futsal game of the season got under way.
Once the boys had adapted to the fast paced format of Futsal, they started to dominate play. Often imposing their passing style of football on the game.

The smiles on the boys faces showed they obviously enjoyed themselves, learning to play with freedom in any position.
Rolling Subs were used every 5 or 6 minutes, and all the boys were desperate to get back on the pitch.

The goals were shared between all the outfield players, and Jacob dominated in goal for the Colts, encouraged by Tim not to use his hands for backpasses even when he was allowed to do so.

Highlights of the match were Jacob's save from the direct free kick he gave away by taking down the Leckhampton striker, and Milo's cheeky chip over the defence from a kick-in that Myles headed in.

The new boy's Jack Baker and Matthew Patrick-Rivers fitted into the team very well, linking up play nicely and always providing a goal threat at one end and a calm influence in the midfield area.
 
Each team's manager chose a Man of the Match and on this occasion it went to Jacob for some brave goalkeeping and fine saves, but in truth this award could have gone to any of the boys as they all gave 100% effort.
More goals may have been scored if better decisions had been made in front of goal, but with a 9 goal margin the boys can maybe be excused on this occasion....
Plus the Leckhampton goalkeeper and the woodwork denied our boys on many occasions.
