Charity Cup draws
Writtle Saturday 1sts entertain Barnston at home in the first round of the expanded Bill Spurgeon Cup which has been scheduled for 26 September. If they win, then a trip to Galleywood awaits them in the second round.
Writtle Saturday Reserves take a step into the unknown with their first participation in the Southend Charity Cup. This competiton is run in 5 sections to cater for the different levels of ability of the teams taking part and the Reserves have been placed in section C and face a home tie against Shoebury Old Boys from Divison Two of the Southend Borough Combination. A win will will see Writtle take to the road and face either Ensign or Trinity who are both from the Southend area.
The Veterans will again be competing in the Tiptree & District Charity Cup where they will be hoping to win this competiton for the seventh year on the trot.
