Whilst a selection of the Under 15 and the Under 14 squads were attending West Midlands County Trials, the Under 13 squad had an English Schools National Trophy game v Kings Norton & South Birmingham.
It is the first year of this competition and the quality of the game was befitting of its status. A top quality end to end game saw Wolverhampton eventually defeated 2-3 in extra time by a very impressive Kings Norton & South Birmingham team.
We will publish the names of the Wolverhampton players chosen to represent our city at West Midlands County (U14 / U15) level as soon as the squads have been announced.
Zeli Ismail (Deansfield School) did superb for England against Northern Ireland in the Under 16 Victory Shield game in Ballymena recently. England won 6-0. His next game will be v Wales in Llanelli on October 31st, and it will again be live on Sky Sports.
