Report

The less said about this result the better from my point of view. After a determined & character showing result last week against Plough, the Tawe boys really let themsleves down this week.

A mouth watering top of the table clash against second placed Blaenymaes & not one player in claret & blue could say that they stood up & wanted to be counted today.

It was always going to be a battle, especially up Mynydd Newydd & on a small pitch & I was hoping that we could have shown a lot more steel but it just wasnt our day. In all fairness to Blaenymaes they battled hard & bent the rules on the odd occasion but when it comes down to it, they wanted it more & it showed.

Promotion this season has just been made that little bit harder, but as it is with football & as Sir Alex Ferguson said after Man Utd's humiliating defeat against their City rivals, "that's the great thing about football, there's always next week to put it right!".

Lets just hope that we can give a better account of ourselves next week & get back to looking like championship contenders when we travel to Bonymaen Park to play another decent outfit.

This weeks man of the match went to 'keeper Jamie Ranford, who's kicking was tremendous & if it wasnt for him between the sticks, the score line could have been far far worse. A great performance plug :-)

Minge of the Match went to Carl Window, for basically just choosing anyone at random for his Minge nomination, that & he wasted Tawe's best chance of the game by blazing over from around 8 yards out. A worthy winner as far as Im concerned!!

Lads, lets get this lose out of our system ready for next week. We're still top of the league & the team to catch, so lets open that gap up again!!

Up the F*****G Tawe!!!
