City were founder members of the highly regarded Northern Combination League in 1998 and have been senior members of the Y&H Premier League since then. The First Team won the North East Regional League 1st Division during 2006 completing a league and cup double under the guidance of Joey McGrory entering the forth tier of the national pyramid. The club introduced an under 14 team at the start of the 2005 season as well as achieving the Charter Standard status. The Junior section has increased further for 2006/07 season with 7 and 11 a-side football being played at Under 13 and Under 15 level. Both Junior age groups play their 11 a-side fooball in the West Riding Girls League and are led By Robert Pearson and Dean Cairns. The well established reserve set-up led by Ellen Thornton, play in the North Riding County League and continue to nurture young talented footballers. The club have undergone many recent changes with the introduction of Paul Ryan as first team manager and are looking forward to a bright future.
